We’ve three new library albums out this week.
Whole Lotta Funk is the library version of our Sound Stylistics album out on Bruton.
Luxury & Power is out on Chappell.
Countdown To Christmas is out on Zone. We haven’t written all the tracks on this one, but there’s a big chunk of our festive side on it!
Jay has just updated the music he wrote a few years ago for the worldwide Toblerone adverts.
They’ve been very successful, so they kept the same theme and just updated it slightly for their new ‘Tobelle’ version of the product.
The agency involved was Ogilvy, and the work came through ‘The Works’ and ‘Virage’ Music.
The Studio People, who are constructing the new studios, arrived today, so work begins in ernest!
Current estimate is that it should be all complete by Xmas.
Above you can see the new layout drawings, which give us a much better use of space.
Following some subsidence damage we suffered in the hot summer of 2006, we’re finally getting the repairs carried out by the insurers.
We’ve had to move out in order for these works to be carried out, so we decided to kill two birds with one stone, and get the whole studio re-modelled at the same time.
We’ll post more info up as we get it. Watch this space!
Michael McIntyre is using one of our library tracks - ‘Boogie Soul’, as the theme tune to his BBC1 show ‘Live & Laughing’ aired on Saturday nights.
Jay’s just finished the music on the new Panasonic Viera “Anthem” spot airing in the US.
The music was commissioned through the New York office of Massive Music - a company Jay has worked with for many years now.
The new Sound Stylistics album will be released on June 3rd .
It will be distributed by P-Vine in Japan, and Freestyle in the UK and rest of the world. You’ll also be able to get on all the usual download sites - iTunes etc.
Yes - the new album is finished!!!
The title is ‘Greasin’ The Wheels’.
We’re just negotiating the licensing rights now, but it should be generally available around the May mark.
Watch this space (or the MySpace site) for more news.
